Organized as a series of low volumes around a central pool terrace, the project balances openness and privacy while framing views to the Sea of Cortez. Shaded outdoor rooms, deep overhangs, and simple material transitions create a calm, durable architecture shaped by climate and site. The house is designed as a continuous indoor-outdoor environment—supporting daily life through light, air, and proportion rather than excess.

Perched on the mountainside below the North Mountain Preserve, the Turquoise House is a minimalist desert residence shaped as much by necessity as by vision. Designed and built as an owner-builder project, the home uses steel structure, concrete floors, and expansive glass to frame sweeping views across the Phoenix valley.
