Fishers District – Fishers, Indiana

Fishers District is a large-scale mixed-use retail and entertainment development located north of Indianapolis in the rapidly growing city of Fishers, Indiana. The project was conceived as a walkable urban district integrating restaurants, retail shops, hospitality venues, and residential development within a cohesive master planned environment designed to serve both regional visitors and the surrounding community.

Easton Architects led the early planning and design development work for the retail component of the district. The work included development of the master planning framework, building footprints, tenant sizes, circulation patterns, parking layout, and the overall spatial organization of the project. Detailed Revit models were constructed to establish accurate building massing, storefront proportions, and the overall scale of the retail environment.

The digital models served as the backbone of a comprehensive visualization and documentation process. Elevations generated from the Revit models were exported and developed into layered presentation drawings using Photoshop. Separate layers were created for linework, shadow studies, building materials, glazing, landscape, and lighting conditions. These layered graphics allowed the design team to study façade compositions, material palettes, storefront relationships, and pedestrian scale in a precise and flexible format.

The resulting design illustrations served as a bridge between concept planning and final construction documentation. Clean, coordinated Revit models and presentation drawings were delivered to a national architecture firm, which completed the full construction documents and construction administration for the project.

The clarity of the modeling and visualization process allowed the project to move from concept to construction with remarkable accuracy. The built project closely reflects the original planning and façade studies developed during the early design phase, demonstrating the value of integrated digital modeling and layered visualization techniques in large-scale retail development.

Today the completed district functions as a major commercial destination, combining restaurants, shops, entertainment venues, and hospitality uses within a cohesive urban environment. The success of the built work illustrates how disciplined planning, clear modeling, and precise visualization can translate design intent directly into successful construction outcomes.
